Messi, Mbappé, and Kane in tight race for World Cup Golden Boot

Only two matches remain to wrap up the World Cup. Argentina will face Spain in the grand final this Sunday. A day before, France and England will fight for the third-place deciding match.

Despite the coach’s lack of interest, this match holds immense importance for another reason. Goals scored in this match will be counted for the Golden Boot award. Four players from these two teams, Mbappé, Kane, Bellingham and Dembélé are still strong contenders for the top scorer award.

Mbappé is currently leveled up with Messi, both netting eight goals. Argentine captain, however, leads the race with one more assist than the French superstar. Although Norway is out of the tournament, Halaad sits second with seven goals.

Bellingham and Kane are tied in third place with six goals each. Dembélé and Oyarzabal follow closely with five goals each. Thus the final lineup choices of England and France will heavily impact the Golden Boot outcome.
