Measles death toll tops 800 375 hospitalized with dengue

Six more children died with measles symptoms across Bangladesh in the past 24 hours, raising the total number of deaths associated with suspected and confirmed measles to 803.

During the same period, no deaths from dengue were reported. However, 375 new dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS) daily report released on Wednesday.

The DGHS said that although six people died with measles symptoms in the last 24 hours, no deaths from laboratory-confirmed measles were recorded during the period.
