Thunderstorms with winds likely in 10 regions

The Bangladesh Meteorological Department (BMD) has forecast gusty winds of up to 60km/h accompanied by rain and thunderstorms over 10 regions of the country.

In a special weather bulletin issued for inland river ports, valid from 5AM to 1PM on Thursday (July 23), meteorologist Md Omar Faruk said the affected regions include Dhaka, Faridpur, Khulna, Barishal, Patuakhali, Noakhali, Cumilla, Chattogram, Cox's Bazar and Sylhet.

Authorities advised to hoist local cautionary signal no. 1 for ports.
