2 arrested with 10 kg hemp in Munshiganj

Police have arrested two persons with 10 kg of hemp in Tongibari upazila of Munshiganj. A team from the Dighirpar Police Outpost conducted the search and arrested the accused around 11:30PM on Wednesday, July 22.
According to police press release, special anti-narcotics drive was conducted across all police stations in the district under Munshiganj Superintendent of Police Md Menhajul Alam, PPM.
As part of the drive, a special police team led by Dighirpar Police Outpost in-charge Md Abu Bakkar Siddique raided Dighirpar Bazar area based on a tip-off. Assistant Sub-Inspector (ASI) Sirajul Islam and ASI Abdur Rauf were part of the team.
During the drive, police arrested Md Morshed Alam, 38, son of Aminullah from Boalia village in Faridganj upazila of Chandpur, and Shahadat Hossain, 41, son of Mofiz Doctor from Mamonpur village in Chandpur Sadar upazila, along with 10 kg of hemp.
