RAB-6 has arrested two drug dealers along with 230 bottles of Wincerex syrup, 15,000 pieces of Tapentadol tablets and massive haul of Indian medicines and cosmetics in Satkhira.
The arrest took place during a drive in Chunar area under Kaliganj upazila of Satkhira on Wednesday morning, 23 July.
The arrestees were identified as Md Ismail Hossain, 28, son of Md Rashedul Islam of Munshiganj East Kalinagar village, and Md Suman Hossain, 29, son of Md Abdul Hakim Gazi of Abad Chandipur village under Shyamnagar upazila in Satkhira district.
RAB sources said they received secret information about two drug traders. A special operational team of RAB-6, CPC-1 (Satkhira Camp) then conducted the drive around 11:00AM. Upon searching, the elite force seized the illegal drugs, banned Indian medicines, and various cosmetic products.
The seized items were listed in the presence of witnesses. Later, a regular case under the Narcotics Control Act was filed against the arrestees, and they were handed over to Kaliganj Police Station along with the seized goods.
RAB-6, CPC-1 Satkhira Company Commander and Additional Superintendent of Police Joyen Uddin Muhammad Ziyad confirmed the matter. He stated that such operations against illegal arms, narcotics, and listed criminals will continue in the future.
