
NAOGAON, July 24: The Mohadevpur Upazila Administration in the district has distributed bicycles to 82 students and sewing machines to 55 women from small ethnic groups at the Upazila Parishad Auditorium on Friday morning. Naogaon-3 MP Fazle Huda Babul was the chief guest at the event.
Upazila Nirbahi Officer Manjura Musharraf, officials from various departments of the administration, political leaders and beneficiaries were present at the event.
MP Fazle Huda said that Prime Minister Tarique Rahman is very sincere in improving the living standards of the backward communities, including the small ethnic groups of the plains. In this country, no one will be left behind, everyone will move forward together. Such initiatives will not only encourage students to pursue education but also play an important role in making women self-reliant.
According to the upazila administration, the bicycles and sewing machines were distributed under the programme titled “Development Assistance for Special Areas (excluding Chittagong Hill Tracts)” in the 2025-26 fiscal year to improve the quality of life of small ethnic groups.
