JaPa submits audit report to EC, posts Tk 589,163 deficit

The Jatiya Party (JaPa), led by GM Quader, has submitted its annual income and expenditure statement for the 2025 calendar year to the Election Commission (EC), reporting an income of Tk 18,204,270 against expenditure of Tk 18,793,433.

JaPa Additional Secretary General Rezaul Islam Bhuiyan submitted the audited financial statement to EC Senior Secretary Akhtar Ahmed at the Election Commission headquarters in Agargaon on Sunday.

Briefing reporters afterwards, Rezaul said the party earned Tk 18,204,270 up to December 31, 2025, while its expenditure stood at Tk 18,793,433, leaving a deficit of Tk 589,163 for the year.

He, however, said the party remained financially solvent due to its previous balance.

"Including the balance carried forward from 2024, the party had Tk 26,655,164 in its bank account. After meeting the expenses incurred in 2025, Tk 7,861,731 remains deposited in the bank," he said.

Explaining the higher expenditure, Rezaul said election-related activities had increased the party's spending during the year.
