Labanchara Police under Khulna Metropolitan Police (KMP) arrested two drug peddlers with 350 Yaba pills during a special drive. The recovered Yaba pills were seized from their possession.
A case has been filed against the arrestees at Labanchara Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
According to KMP sources, a team from Labanchara Police Station conducted a special drive on July 26, 2026, at 1:50PM in the Jabbar Sarak area along the Khulna-Dhaka highway. During the operation, drug peddlers Mafuzur Rahman alias Milton, 36 and Md. Faruk Sheikh, 35 were arrested from the paved road.
Arrested Mafuzur Rahman alias Milton is the son of Md. Toyabur Rahman, hailing from the Parkorfa area under Kashiani Police Station in Gopalganj district. On the other hand, Md. Faruk Sheikh is the son of Md. Barik Sheikh, residing in the Jabusa area under Rupsha Police Station in Khulna district.
Police said 350 Yaba tablets were recovered from their search and possession. The recovered drugs were seized, and a case was filed against them at Labanchara Police Station under the Narcotics Control Act.
Meanwhile, a review of police station records and the CDMS (Crime Data Management System) revealed that arrestee Mafuzur Rahman alias Milton has two previous cases against him.
KMP stated that regular drives are being conducted across the metropolis to build a drug-free society. Such operations against drug peddlers and those involved in narcotics will continue in the future.
