3 held with 563 Yaba pills in Satkhira

Bangladesh Coast Guard (BCG) West Zone captured three alleged drug dealers with 563 Yaba tablets in Syamnagar upazila of Satkhira on Tuesday afternoon.

Acting on a tip-off, Coast Guard Station Kaikhali dispatched a special team in the Delma Filling Station area under Munshiganj Union around 4:00PM.

During the operation, the team recovered 563 Yaba pills, valued approximately Tk 2.82 lakh, and seized four mobile phones. Three alleged drug peddlers were detained from the spot.

Lieutenant Commander Mahbub Hossain, media officer of BCG West Zone, confirmed the matter. He stated that legal procedures regarding the arrested persons and seized items are currently underway.

He further added that the Coast Guard will continue such drives to prevent the spread of illegal drugs in the country.
