Members of Border Guard Bangladesh (BGB) recovered 50 bottles of Indian Eskuf syrup during an anti-smuggling drive in the Goga border area under Khulna Battalion (21 BGB) on Tuesday.
Lieutenant Colonel Md. Nafiz Imtiaz Ahsan, Commanding Officer of 21 BGB, confirmed the matter.
He stated that as part of BGB's ongoing operational activities, intelligence surveillance and patrolling along the border have been intensified to prevent the smuggling of goods and narcotics.
As part of these efforts, a team from the Goga Border Outpost (BOP) conducted an anti-smuggling operation in its jurisdiction on July 28 and seized 50 bottles of Indian Eskuf syrup.
The BGB commander added that such drives will continue to stop all types of smuggling, including illegal drugs, along the country's border areas.
