‘Kajol Chokher Meye’ crosses 20m views in 12 days

Romantic drama ‘Kajol Chokher Meye’, starring Farhan Ahmed Jovan and Tanjim Saiara Totini, has surpassed 20 million views within 12 days of its release on the Capital Drama YouTube channel.

Directed by Jakaria Showkhin and produced by Anwarul Alam Sajal, the drama premiered on July 17. Sponsored by Monalisa Sanitary Napkin, it has received appreciation from viewers for its portrayal of love, family values and Bengali culture.

Totini plays Kajol, while Jovan appears as Shuvro. The story centres on a middle-class family, combining romance with family relationships and emotional bonds.

Showkhin said the team aimed to capture the culture, emotions and relationships of a Bengali middle-class family and expressed gratitude for the audience’s response.

Sajal, who is also Head of Operations at Radio Capital, said Capital Multimedia recently crossed one billion cumulative views across its digital platforms, with nearly 700 million coming from Capital Drama’s YouTube and Facebook channels. He said ‘Kajol Chokher Meye’ was the fastest production on the platform to reach 20 million views.

The drama also features Anand Khaled, Mili Bashar and several other artistes.
