Prime Minister Tarique Rahman drove through various streets of the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) on Friday afternoon to personally inspect road conditions.
The Prime Minister’s Deputy Press Secretary, Jahidul Islam Rony, confirmed the matter.
"Honorable Prime Minister Tarique Rahman drove his own vehicle to inspect the cleanliness and overall state of various roads in the northern part of the capital," Rony said.
"The Prime Minister has repeatedly expressed his vision to make Dhaka a clean city. He took to the streets personally to observe the situation on the ground," he added.
Accompanying the Prime Minister in the vehicle were State Minister for Local Government Shahe Alam, DNCC Administrator Shafiqul Islam Milton, BNP Special Secretary Belayet Hossain, the Prime Minister’s Private Secretary Mehedul Islam, and Assistant Private Secretary Abdur Rahman Sani.
The Deputy Press Secretary noted that the Prime Minister left his Gulshan residence at 4:05PM, driving the car himself.
