PM inspects DNCC roads, cleanliness

Prime Minister Tarique Rahman on Friday personally inspected the condition and cleanliness of roads under the Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC), driving himself through different parts of northern Dhaka as part of the government's efforts to improve the capital's urban environment.

Deputy Press Secretary Jahidul Islam Rony said the prime minister drove the vehicle throughout the inspection to assess firsthand the cleanliness and condition of roads in the northern part of the capital.

"The Honourable Prime Minister has repeatedly said that he wants to see Dhaka as a clean city. That is why he is personally touring different roads to inspect the situation," Rony said.

According to the Deputy Press Secretary, the prime minister left his Gulshan residence at 4:05pm and drove the vehicle himself during the entire tour.
At around 6:10pm, his vehicle was passing through the Shyamoli area as the inspection continued, Rony added.

State Minister for Local Government Shahe Alam, Dhaka North City Corporation Administrator Shafiqul Islam Milton, BNP Special Secretary Belayet Hossain, Prime Minister's Private Secretary Mehedul Islam and Assistant Private Secretary Abdur Rahman Sani accompanied the prime minister during the visit.
