Samhee’s debut solo exhibition Silent Expressions opens

Artist Fareena Samhee Nethee’s first solo exhibition, Silent Expressions, opens today at Batighar Art Space in the Asiatic Centre, Banani.

Organised by Mongol Deep Foundation, the exhibition will be inaugurated at 4:00pm. Rubaba Dowla, Country Managing Director of Oracle Bangladesh, Nepal and Bhutan, will attend as chief guest, while actor-painter Afzal Hossain and Gallery Chitrak Executive Director Md Muniruzzaman will be present as special guests.

Supported by Vertex Chambers and SAJIDA Foundation, the exhibition showcases Fareena’s original acrylic paintings. The title reflects her belief that colours, shapes and forms can express emotions beyond words.

A hearing-impaired artist, Fareena has participated in several workshops and group exhibitions, including the International Group Art Exhibition organised by the Indian Council for Cultural Relations (ICCR), Kolkata, in 2017, and a special exhibition marking the 101st birth anniversary of Shilpaguru Safiuddin Ahmed in 2023.

The exhibition will remain open daily from 4:00pm to 8:00pm until August 10.
