Sabbir Mostafa Khan appointed Dhaka WASA chairman

Professor Dr Md Sabbir Mostafa Khan of the Department of Water Resources Engineering at Bangladesh University of Engineering and Technology (BUET) has been appointed chairman of Dhaka WASA.

The Local Government Ministry issued a notification appointing him to the post on Sunday (August 2).

He has been appointed for a three-year term under Section 7(1) of the Water Supply and Sewerage Authority (Amendment) Act, 2026.
