UP chairman Zakir Hossain arrested in Nabinagar

Police have arrested Zakir Hossain, president of the Barail Union unit of the Awami League and chairman of Barail Union Parishad in Nabinagar upazila of Brahmanbaria.
According to police sources, Zakir Hossain was arrested from Barail village by Nabinagar Police on Sunday (August 9).
Nabinagar Police Station Officer-in-Charge (OC) Md. Morshedul Alam confirmed the arrest, saying that several cases are pending against Zakir Hossain. Police arrested him from Barail village on Sunday afternoon after a warrant was issued in one of the cases.
The OC said Zakir Hossain will be sent to jail custody on Monday.
