Dinesh Trivedi meets Narendra Modi

Indian High Commissioner to Bangladesh Dinesh Trivedi met Prime Minister Narendra Modi in New Delhi following his high-level meeting with Bangladesh Prime Minister Tarique Rahman in Dhaka.
Earlier, Dinesh Trivedi held talks with Prime Minister Tarique Rahman at the Bangladesh Secretariat on Monday (August 10).
On Sunday, during the inauguration of a children's play area at the Indian Visa Application Center (IVAC) in Jamuna Future Park, Dinesh Trivedi said, "We all hold immense respect for the Prime Minister of Bangladesh. I have listened to his speeches on many occasions. He is a leader connected to the people, just as our Prime Minister is."
"I believe that when both leaders [Prime Minister Tarique Rahman and Indian Prime Minister Narendra Modi] sit for talks, many outstanding issues will be resolved. Solutions emerge through dialogue. I fully believe our people share a bond and solutions will follow. There is no room for negativity here; everything is positive," he added.
Meanwhile, addressing speculation regarding a Dhaka visit by the chief of India’s intelligence agency RAW, Prime Minister’s Information Affairs Adviser Dr Zahed Ur Rahman clarified that the official arrived in Dhaka from China.
He stated that it was a routine visit, during which the intelligence chief would meet relevant Bangladeshi counterparts. The government may issue a statement after the tour if necessary, adding that there is no cause for secrecy or undue speculation.
Dr Zahed Ur Rahman noted that the head of Bangladesh's intelligence agency had similarly visited India, emphasizing that routine communication and discussions between intelligence officials of neighbouring countries are standard practice.
Citing the Indian High Commissioner, the Prime Minister's Information Adviser remarked that while friends can change, neighbours cannot. Therefore, Bangladesh must realign and rebuild its bilateral relationship with India based on mutual interests.
