93 Wushu clubs receive registration certificates

The Bangladesh Wushu Federation (BWUF) has taken a significant step towards strengthening its grassroots structure, formally handing registration certificates to 93 affiliated clubs and inaugurating its newly refurbished office in Dhaka on Tuesday.

The ceremony, held at the meeting room of the National Stadium, was attended by National Sports Council Executive Director Md Daulatuzzaman Khan, NDC, as the chief guest. Federation president Saiful Islam Bhuiyan chaired the event, while general secretary Dildar Hasan Dilu delivered the welcome address.

Vice-president SM Shahidul Haque Bhuiyan and treasurer Habibur Rahman Siddiqui Rubel also spoke at the programme.

Addressing the gathering, Khan praised the federation's initiative, stressing the importance of expanding Wushu at grassroots level and ensuring an active role for registered clubs. He said disciplined and effective club management would help lay a stronger foundation for Wushu in Bangladesh and pave the way for greater success on the international stage.

Bhuiyan described the presentation of certificates to 93 clubs as a milestone in the federation's organisational journey. He urged clubs to join forces to develop and expand the sport across the country.

Representatives of the registered clubs received their certificates at the ceremony, which also brought the federation's refurbished office into operation. Officials, district and club representatives, sports organisers and Wushu stakeholders were present.
