Eid-e-Miladunnabi date to be decided Thursday

The date for Eid-e-Miladunnabi will be decided on Thursday (August 13).

The National Moon Sighting Committee will meet at 7:00 pm (after Maghrib) at the Islamic Foundation hall room in Baitul Mukarram. The meeting will review reports on the sighting of the Rabiul Awal moon for the 1448 Hijri year and set the date for Eid-e-Miladunnabi.

Religious Affairs Minister Kazi Shah Mofazzal Hossain (Kaikoabad) will preside over the meeting.

The Islamic Foundation shared this information in a press release on Wednesday (August 12).

The Foundation requested citizens to report any moon sighting in Bangladesh. People can call 02-41053294, 02-226640510, or 02-223383397, or contact local Deputy Commissioners (DC) and Upazila Nirbahi Officers (UNO).
