Madhuri Dixit to make history as first female host

Amitabh Bachchan remains the iconic face of Kaun Banega Crorepati (KBC). The popular quiz show has drawn viewers for years under his hosting.

However, KBC is introducing a new twist. Bollywood actress Madhuri Dixit will host the quiz show for the first time.

Madhuri will anchor the Marathi version of the show, not the Hindi one. Indian media outlets confirmed the news in recent reports.

Curiosity grew after the promo for the new season of Hindi KBC was released. Later, it was revealed that Madhuri is taking on the role for the Marathi edition.

Previously, stars like Swapnil Joshi, Sachin Khedekar, and Nagraj Manjule hosted Marathi KBC. However, this is the first time a woman will lead the show. Madhuri's entry marks a new chapter for the franchise.

Madhuri shared the announcement on social media. She called it a new chapter in her life. She expressed excitement to join a platform that connects knowledge, dreams, and opportunities.

Madhuri previously served as a judge on various reality television shows. However, this marks her debut as a full-time quiz show anchor.

Although she is the first female host for Marathi KBC, she is not the first for the entire franchise. Actress Radhika Sarathkumar previously hosted the Tamil version of the show.
