College principal arrested in BNP office vandalism case

Police have arrested Alok Karmakar, president of Kaukhali upazila Jubo League and principal of Kaukhali Women’s College, in a case filed over vandalism at a BNP office in Pirojpur.

Kaukhali police arrested him from the upazila headquarters on Wednesday afternoon. He was later taken to the police station.

Kaukhali Police Station Officer-in-Charge Md Anwar Hossain said Karmakar was arrested in connection with the vandalism of the BNP office at North Bazar in Kaukhali. He was produced before a court on Thursday following the completion of legal procedures.
