Two more people have died of dengue, taking the death toll from the mosquito-borne disease to 67 this year, according to the Directorate General of Health Services (DGHS).
Another 730 dengue patients were admitted to hospitals across the country in the past 24 hours, bringing the number of patients currently receiving treatment to 1,648.
The DGHS Health Emergency Operations Centre and Control Room disclosed the figures in a statement on Saturday.
The latest deaths involved a man aged between 51 and 55 and a woman aged between 36 and 40.
Of the 67 deaths recorded this year, 42 were women and 25 were men, according to the DGHS.
So far, 23,173 people have been hospitalised with dengue, of whom 21,458 have recovered and been discharged.
Among the currently hospitalised patients, 612 are in Dhaka Division, 371 in Khulna, 263 in Barishal, 131 in Mymensingh, 126 in Chattogram, 117 in Rajshahi, 19 in Rangpur and nine in Sylhet.
