RAB arrests two suspected drug dealers in Khulna

‎The Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) has arrested two suspected drug dealers with 340 bottles of Fencidil-like syrups and 1.8 kilograms of cannabis during a raid in the Sonadanga residential area of Khulna.

‎The raid was conducted by a team of RAB-6, Special Company, at around 9:45am on Sunday based on a tip-off, according to RAB.
‎
‎During the operation, the team recovered 180 bottles of Winserex, a Fencidil-like syrup, 160 bottles of Eskaf and 1.8kg of cannabis from the suspects.
‎
‎The arrested individuals have been identified as Md Sazzad Hossain, 26, son of Bablu Molla of Khulna Sadar, and Md Ataur Rahman, 35, son of Golam Sarwar of Srirampur in Satkhira.
‎
‎RAB said the seized drugs were confiscated in accordance with legal procedures in the presence of witnesses.
‎
‎A case under the Narcotics Control Act has been filed against the two suspects with Sonadanga Police Station of Khulna Metropolitan Police. They were handed over to the police along with the seized drugs for further legal action.
‎
‎RAB-6 said its anti-drug operations will continue as part of its “zero tolerance” policy against drugs.
