Govt to hold discussion at PM’s Office marking 180 days in office

The government will hold a discussion meeting at the Prime Minister’s Office in Dhaka on Monday to mark 180 days since the BNP-led government assumed office.

The meeting will begin at 11am at the Shapla Hall of the Prime Minister’s Tejgaon office. It is being organised by the Prime Minister’s Press Wing.

The meeting is expected to focus on the government’s activities and achievements over the past six months, as well as its plans and priorities for the coming days.

Officials responsible for several key ministries and senior officials of the Prime Minister’s Office are scheduled to attend.

Those expected to join include Prime Minister’s Political Adviser and Adviser to the Agriculture Ministry Nazrul Islam Khan; Prime Minister’s Political Adviser and Adviser to the Industries Ministry Ruhul Kabir Rizvi; Public Administration Adviser Ismail Zobaiullah; Information and Broadcasting Minister Zahir Uddin Swapan; and State Minister for Information and Broadcasting Yaser Khan Chowdhury.

Prime Minister’s Adviser and spokesperson Mahdi Amin, Information and Broadcasting Adviser Dr Zahid Ur Rahman, Prime Minister’s Special Assistant for Health Dr SM Ziauddin Haider, Press Secretary and spokesperson Saleh Shibli, and Principal Coordinator for SDG Affairs Prof Dr SM Abdul Awal are also scheduled to attend.

Additional Press Secretary Atiqur Rahman Ruman and other members of the Prime Minister’s Press Wing will also be present.

The meeting may also provide an opportunity for journalists to raise questions and share views on the government’s performance, while the government is expected to outline its priorities for the next phase of its tenure.
