Interpol Red Notice sought to bring back ex-Army chief Aziz

Chief Prosecutor Md Aminul Islam confirmed the matter to media on Tuesday (August 18).

In a letter, signed by Chief Prosecutor Md Aminul Islam, the authorities were requested to take necessary steps to issue a Red Notice against Aziz in accordance with the relevant regulations of the International Criminal Police Organization (Interpol).

The letter also asked the authorities to provide updates on the progress and inform the prosecution of the International Crimes Tribunal, if necessary.

The copies of letter was sent to the Inspector General of Police as well as the Additional Inspector General of Police (NCB) at Bangladesh Police Headquarters.
