Former Education Minister Dipu Moni's husband Tawfiq Nawaz passed away at a hospital in Dhaka on Tuesday night.
He breathed his last at 10:27PM at Continental Hospital, formerly United Hospital, Dipu Moni’s elder brother JR Wadud Tipu confirmed.
Nawaz suffered a stroke in 2019.
On May 27, relatives took him to court in a wheelchair so that he could meet his wife, who was then in jail.
A Supreme Court lawyer by profession, Nawaz was also involved in the practice of classical music.
