Dentist rescued after Tk 100,000 ransom demand

Hasibur Hasan, 43, a dentist who had been kidnapped from Kuril Bishwaroad, was released on Wednesday (August 2) night in Purbachal unharmed.

According to members of the Rajuk Ansar Guard, the dentist was found in Sector 19 with his mouth, eyes, hands, and feet tied up.

As stated by the dentist, he was waiting for transportation to see his patients at a pharmacy in Jalsiri when a driver offered him a lift through his vehicle. After getting into the microbus, a gang tied him up and demanded Tk 100,000 in ransom from him. They stole Tk 12,000 from his mobile banking account.

Later, they left him in a deserted jungle area in Purbachal. A patrol team heard his cries and found him there.
