Four new ministers and two state ministers have joined Prime Minister Tarique Rahman’s cabinet.
They took their oaths at Bangabhaban on Friday evening (August 21), shortly after newly elected President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir took the presidential oath.
The six newly appointed cabinet members include four ministers and two state ministers.
The new ministers are Dr Abdul Moyeen Khan, Barrister Andaleeve Rahman Partha, Saching Prue Jerry and M Rashiduzzaman Millat.
The two state ministers are Humayun Kabir and Mohammad Shamim Kaiser Lincoln.
President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir took his oath at the Darbar Hall of Bangabhaban at around 7:30pm on Friday.
An official at Bangabhaban said more than 1,200 guests were invited to the president’s oath-taking ceremony.
