Army chief opens Army Public School and College

Army Chief General Waker-Uz-Zaman inaugurated the Army Public School and College in Kalukhali upazila of Rajbari on Sunday.

He inaugurated the institution at Maliat in Ratanadia Union around 11:00 AM, according to an ISPR press release.

Senior military and civilian officials, including Adjutant General Major General Md Hossain Al Morshed, GOC of 55 Infantry Division and Jessore Area Commander Major General Md Hafizur Rahman, Rajbari Deputy Commissioner Afroza Parvin, and local representatives, were present at the ceremony.

The institution has been established to provide modern and quality education to students in the remote areas of Kalukhali, the ISPR said.

It is expected to provide students with a safe, disciplined and modern learning environment while contributing to improving the overall quality of education in the area.

According to the ISPR, the Bangladesh Army has been contributing to the development of education and human resources by operating educational institutions alongside its responsibilities for national security, peace and sovereignty.

Earlier, the Army chief inaugurated the Military Collegiate School Faridpur (MCSF). The institution was established following the model of Military Collegiate School Khulna to develop ideal citizens with knowledge, discipline, patriotism, leadership qualities and human values.
