The final roadmap for academic migration of students from seven affiliated colleges of Dhaka University (DU) to Dhaka Central University (DCU) will be published on August 27.
The decision was disclosed in a press release signed by DCU Registrar Md Shahidur Rahman on Sunday night (August 23).
According to the release, all relevant stakeholders reached a consensus regarding the academic migration during a meeting at the Ministry of Education on August 23.
The decision was finalized after reviewing feedback from students belonging to the 2021-22, 2022-33, and 2023-24 academic sessions of the seven affiliated government colleges.
The official statement further noted that the final academic migration roadmap will be announced by Thursday, August 27, following necessary administrative procedures.
Education Minister ANM Ehsanul Hoque Milan, Prime Minister’s Education Adviser Mahdi Amin, high-level education ministry officials, DU authorities, DCU administrators, and principals of the seven colleges attended the meeting.
DCU authorities said this transfer reflects the current government's strong commitment to prioritizing student welfare and academic enhancement.
The university management sought full cooperation from students, principals, teachers, and stakeholders to complete the migration process smoothly.
