Bodies of two missing children found 12 hours later in Sherpur

The bodies of two missing children were recovered from a pond in Nalitabari upazila early Monday (August 24), around 12 hours after they went missing

The bodies of 8-year-old Rohan and 9-year-old Ismail were found floating in a large pond in the Madhya Nakshi area of Koloshpar Union.

As per family members and locals, both the boys had left their respective houses at noon on Sunday (August 23). Since then, efforts were made by family members and locals to find the whereabouts of both of them.

Locals say Rohan and Ismail used to go fishing in nearby rivers and water bodies but were not expert swimmers, leading locals to fear that both had probably drowned while going for fishing.

Once the bodies were found, both family members and locals hurried to the spot where they found the bodies with the help of local people.
