Pubali Bank Drives Cashless Campaign at DMCH

Pubali Bank PLC organized an awareness program titled "Cashless Dhaka Medical College Hospital" to expand digital transactions nationwide and implement the "Bangla QR" system.

The initiative aims to make financial transactions easier, safer, and more modern for patients and their relatives at Dhaka Medical College Hospital (DMCH).

DMCH Director Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman attended the inaugural ceremony as the chief guest. Sadia Khan, Additional Director of the Payment Systems Department-1 at Bangladesh Bank, was present as the guest of honor.

Pubali Bank Deputy Managing Director Md Shahnewaz Khan, Alternative Delivery Channel Division Head and Deputy General Manager Md Rabiul Alam, and Card Business Division Head and Deputy General Manager NM Firoz Kamal attended as special guests.

Md Rafiqul Islam, General Manager and Regional Head of the bank's Dhaka South Region, presided over the ceremony, which was attended by senior officials from both institutions.

Speaking as the chief guest, Brigadier General Md Asaduzzaman said the cashless transaction system will reduce the use of physical cash for hospital services and enable fast, secure digital payments. He noted that the move will reduce suffering for patients and their relatives while expanding digital financial services in the healthcare sector.

Special Guest Md Shahnewaz Khan highlighted that Pubali Bank continues to work towards advancing modern, customer-friendly services. He added that introducing cashless payments in healthcare will play an important role in driving the digital economy forward.
