Cumilla DC releases fish fingerlings

CHAUDDAGRAM, CUMILLA, Aug 25: On the occasion of the National Fisheries Fortnight, Deputy Commissioner (DC) of the district Rosie Akhtar released fish fingerlings into the Baraishe Kanai Canal in Munshirhat Union of Chauddagram Upazila of the district on Monday. 

During the release of fish fingerlings in the internal wetlands and institutional water bodies under the Department of Fisheries in the fiscal year 2026-27, organised by the Senior Upazila Department of Fisheries, among others, were present Chattogram Divisional Director of the Department of Fisheries Anwar Hossain, Deputy Director Bishwajit Bairagi, Chauddagram Upazila Nirbahi Officer Shahadat Hossain, Upazila Assistant Commissioner (Land) Syed Shafqat Ali, Upazila Senior Fisheries Officer Md Latifur Rahman, OC of Chauddagram Police Station Mohammad Arif Hossain, Upazila Secondary Education Officer AKM Mir Hossain, Chauddagram Press Club President Sirajul Islam Faraiji, and the others.
