Sarjis Alam, president of National Citizen Party (NCP), has stated that some quotas must be kept up to a reasonable extent.
He was of strong objection to the decision made by Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) stating that politicization in every field would never produce positive outcomes for the BNP and the nation.
"We protest strongly against this decision made by BNP. This politicization in every field will not yield any positive outcome for BNP or the country," he said.
These comments were made in a conference held under the chairmanship of NCP district convener Khagrachhari Nur Alam Siddiqui. Sarwar Tushar, Central Joint Convener NCP, Ali Ahsan Junaid and other local leaders also addressed the conference.
Leaders and activists from different levels of NCP’s affiliated and associate organizations also attended the conference.
