The bodies of nine, out of the 16 Bangladeshi fire victims in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, will be brought back to Bangladesh, on Thursday (August 27).
It is expected that Bangladesh Biman flight BG-340, carrying the bodies, will arrive at Hazrat Shahjalal International Airport in Dhaka at about 4PM.
Seven of the dead people were residents of Atrai, Naogaon, while the others are two people from Naldanga, Natore and two people from Bagmara, Rajshahi.
These Bangladeshi workers died in the fire in a sofa factory in Riyadh, which took place on August 9. Nine victims’ identities were identified by taking fingerprints tests in Saudi Arabia. The other seven people’s identities are being identified through DNA tests.
Md Moniruzzaman, Upazila Executive Officer of Atrai, stated that ambulances have been arranged to take the dead bodies for free to their homes.
