Eid-e-Miladunnabi celebrated in districts

Holy Eid-e-Miladunnabi to mark the birth and death of Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) was celebrated in districts including Habiganj, Kulaura Upazila of Moulvibazar, Narayanganj, Noakhali Science and Technology University (NSTU) and Pirojpur on Wednesday with due dignity and religious fervour.

HABIGANJ: The Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat and the Eid-e-Miladunnabi Celebration Committee organised a Jashne Julus and a discussion meeting to mark the Eid-e-Miladunnabi in the district on Wednesday in a solemn and festive atmosphere. 

A large number of Muslim devotees carrying flags, banners and festoons of different colours from different upazilas and remote areas of the district participated in the event that paraded through the main roads of the town.

In addition, religious arches were erected and lighting was arranged at various intersections of the town. Various events including religious discussions and Milad Mahfil were held on the occasion of the day.

MOULVIBAZAR: A Hamd-Naat competition, discussion meeting, Doa and Milad Mahfil and prize distribution ceremony were held in Kulaura Upazila of the district on the occasion of the Eid-e-Miladunnabi.  

Students of various schools and madrasas participated in the competition organised on Wednesday. Upazila Children Affairs Officer Md Abul Bashar chaired the programme with Upazila Nirbahi Officer Sanjida Akhter as the chief guest. Hazrat Shahjalal Madrasa teacher Kawsar Ahmed, Alalpur Hafizul Madrasa head teacher Hafez Tuhin Ahmed and Upazila Central Jam-e-Mosque Imam Sayed Ahmed Sadi Sunny were special guests.
 
NARAYANGANJ: A Jashne Julus was taken out in Narayanganj on the occasion of the Eid-e-Miladunnabi led by Bangladesh Ahle Sunnat Wal Jamaat President and Bangladesh Islamic Front Chairman Syed Bahadur Shah Mojjaddedi Al Abedi. The rally started from the front of the Baitul Izzat Jame Mosque in Nitaiganj on Wednesday morning and ended at the same place after parading through important roads.

Syed Bahadur Shah said that there are numerous documents for celebrating the holy Eid Miladunnabi in the light of the Quran and Hadith. Those who call Eid Miladunnabi an innovation are the agents of the Jews. He called for forgetting all communal conflicts and eradicating militancy in order to build a beautiful Bangladesh. Earlier, Muslims from different parts of the district participated in the rally on foot and in vehicles.

Later, a discussion was held on the biography of the Prophet Muhammad (PBUH), and prayers and supplications were held for peace in the country and nation.

NOAKHALI: On this occasion, Doa and Milad Mahfil were held at the central mosque of NSTU after Zuhr prayers on Wednesday. Vice-Chancellor of the university, Professor Dr Golam Rabbani, was present.

Among others, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr Muhammad Shafiqul Islam, along with teachers, students and officials and employees of various departments of the university were also present at the Milad Mahfil. At that time, special prayers were offered for the welfare of the country and the nation.

PIROJPUR: On this occasion, recitation of the Holy Quran, Hamd-Naat contests and rally were organised in the district. 
Government Boys’ School organised a discussion meeting at the school hall room on Wednesday morning. Besides, Hamd-Naat competition was organised. Later prizes were distributed among the winners. 

Head Teacher Md Babar Talukder chaired the programmes. A special prayer was offered on the occasion.
On the other hand, Pirojpur Science and Technology University (PrSTU) held a discussion meeting at the conference hall of the university on Wednesday morning on this occasion.  

Professor Dr Sabirul Islam Hawlader chaired the programme while Chairman of Statistics Department Dr Md Musa Khan, Chairman of Mathematics Department Dr Md Mosarrof Hossain and Director of Planning and Development Muhammad Mahburs Sobahan discussed ideology, sacrifices and philosophy of the Prophet (PBUH).
