450 GPA-5 achievers honored by Islami Chhatra Shibir in Magura

The Magura district unit of Islami Chhatra Shibir has honored 450 students who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent examinations. The event also included guidance for the students on higher education, career planning, ethics, leadership, and skill development.
The reception was organized on Friday (August 28) afternoon at the hallroom of Lata Community Center in Jamrultala, Magura town. Students who achieved GPA-5 in the SSC and equivalent examinations from various educational institutions across the district attended the event.
Welcoming the students’ achievements, the speakers said that good results are an important accomplishment in academic life. However, achieving good marks alone is not enough to attain desired success in the future. Alongside academic excellence, students need to develop ethics, humanitarian values, leadership qualities, and practical skills. They were urged to build themselves as competent citizens and contribute to the welfare of society and the country.
The event was presided over by Md. Zubayer Hossain, president of the Magura district unit of Islami Chhatra Shibir. The chief guest was Nurul Islam, central president of Islami Chhatra Shibir. Special guests included Md. Riazul Islam, central secretary for Student Rights and Vice-President of Jagannath University, and Dr. Zayed Ahmed, central secretary for School Activities.
In his speech as the chief guest, Islami Chhatra Shibir Central President Nurul Islam said that good results are an important achievement in life, but they are not the ultimate goal. Students should focus on acquiring higher education as well as ethics, leadership qualities, and necessary skills. Regardless of the profession they choose in the future, they should prepare themselves to work with honesty, responsibility, and patriotism.
He further said that students should learn to make proper use of time, maintain discipline and develop their talents and skills from an early stage of their academic life. He urged them to use their knowledge and skills to contribute to the development of society and the country.
The event was conducted by Imam-ul Islam, secretary of the Magura district unit of Islami Chhatra Shibir. Professor Saeed Ahmed Bachchu, acting ameer of the Magura district Jamaat, also addressed the students. He emphasized the importance of focusing on studies while simultaneously developing good character and humanitarian values.
The students were also provided with various guidelines on career development. Discussions focused on higher education opportunities, choosing future professions, and improving personal skills. The students received advice on different aspects of their academic life and future careers.
Presidents and secretaries of various upazila units of Islami Chhatra Shibir in Magura, along with other leaders and activists of the organization, were present at the event.
At the end of the discussion and guidance session, the guests handed over prizes and crests to the 450 GPA-5 achievers. The students expressed their enthusiasm after being honored, saying that such an initiative would inspire them to perform even better in their future academic careers.
