Putin hails Mirza Fakhrul

Russian President Vladimir Putin on Friday congratulated Bangladesh’s new President Mirza Fakhrul Islam Alamgir,  wishing success in carrying out his responsibilities for welfare of people.

Russian Embassy in Dhaka said Putin has conveyed his congratulations to Mirza Fakhrul following his election as president.

In his message, Vladimir Putin wished Bangladesh, president good health, well-being and success in his future efforts for the prosperity of the country.

Putin’s congratulatory message underscores the longstanding ties of friendship, mutual respect and cooperation between Bangladesh and Russia.

The message also comes as the two countries continue to maintain cooperation across a range of areas, reflecting their established bilateral relationship.
