New body of Chatmohar Press Club formed

CHATMOHAR, PABNA, Aug 29: The biennial election of the Chatmohar Press Club in the district was held at the club auditorium on Saturday morning.

Before the election, the club’s general meeting was held with outgoing President Helalur Rahman Jewel in the chair. Outgoing General Secretary (GS) SM Masud Rana presented the annual report. Rakibur Rahman Tukun, Sanjit Saha Kingshuk, Isharat Ali, Aftab Hossain and others took part in the discussion.

In the second session, the election was held through a secret ballot. Rakibur Rahman Tukun of The Daily Observer was elected president, while Sanjit Saha Kingshuk of Manab Zamin was elected GS.

MA Jinnah of Bhorer Darpan was elected vice-president, Abdul Latif Ranjoo of Kaler Kantho joint general secretary, Zakir Selim of Khola Kagoj treasurer, and Jahangir Alam of Inqilab, SM Masud Rana of Sangbad and Shahinur Rahman Shahin of Channel 24 executive members.

Shubhashish Bhattacharya Tushar of Ajker Patrika was elected office secretary, Habibur Rahman Shimul of Amar Sangbad publicity secretary, and Khandaker Ittekhar Ahmed Tutul of Amader Shomoy literature and publication secretary.
