Child’s measles death: Rule issued against Yunus, 5 others for compensation

The High Court has issued a rule asking why Tk 1 crore should not be given as compensation to the family of a child who died after contracting measles.

The court has directed six respondents, including Dr Muhammad Yunus, to respond to the rule within four weeks.

The rule seeks an explanation as to why compensation should not be provided to the deceased child’s family over the death.
