RAB arrests two drug dealers in jhenaidah

RAB-6 has arrested two alleged drug dealers in Maheshpur, Jhenaidah, and recovered 198 bottles of illegally imported Indian Wincofex syrup from their possession.

The arrested individuals were identified as Isanur, son of the late Shukur Ali of Krishnapur village in Maheshpur, Jhenaidah, and Intadul Islam, son of Lebur Ali from the same area

The two men were arrested and the drugs were recovered on Thursday from the Four Roads intersection in the East Para area of Maladharapur village, Azampur Union, Maheshpur Upazila.

Squadron Leader Imamim Mubeen Suman, of RAB-6’s Jhenaidah CPC-2, said that acting on a tip-off, RAB learned that a shipment of drugs was being brought into the Maladharapur area of Azampur. During the operation, RAB arrested two individuals while they were transporting 198 bottles of the illegal drug Wincofex in an easy-bike at the Four Roads intersection in East Para village.

A case has been filed against the arrested individuals under the Narcotics Control Act, and they have been handed over to Maheshpur Police Station.
