Minister, wife injured in car crash while saving elderly woman

State Minister of Public Administration and Food Abdul Bari sustained injuries after a car crash while saving a deaf elder woman in Shibganj of Bogura district on Friday (September 4) morning.

The incident happened near Gopinathpur area of Kichak Union on the Mokamtola-Joypurhat Road while the state minister was traveling to his constituency from Dhaka.

According to police, an old lady, Firoza, suddenly crossed the road. As the driver avoided the lady, he lost control of the car, which ended up in a paddy field.

The State Minister sustained minor injuries and received first-aid. The old woman was also hurt and was admitted to TMSS Hospital.
