Minister, wife injured in car crash while saving elderly woman

State Minister of Public Administration and Food Abdul Bari and his wife sustained injuries after a car crash when saving an old woman in Shibganj of Bogura district on Friday morning.

The incident happened near Gopinathpur area of Kichak Union on the Mokamtola-Joypurhat Road while the state minister was traveling to his constituency from Dhaka.

According to police, an old lady, Firoza, suddenly crossed the road. As the driver avoided the lady, he lost control over the car, which ended up in a paddy field.

The state minister and his wife sustained minor injuries and got first-aid. The old woman was also hurt and admitted to TMSS Hospital.
