Body of Moushumi Hijra recovered in Chittagong

Police have recovered the body of a Hijra leader named Mohammad Mohsin alias Moushumi Hijra, 52, from the Hijra colony adjacent to Ambagan Railway Colony under Khulshi police station in Chittagong city.

Her body was recovered from her house at 10:00 AM on Saturday.

According to the Police said that Moushumi lived alone in the house. In the morning, neighbors found the door of her house open. Later, her body was found lying face down on the bed in the bedroom. Blood was coming out of her mouth. There were signs of serious injuries on her neck. Initially, the incident seems to be a planned murder. The real cause of death can be confirmed after receiving the autopsy report.

Khulshi police station officer-in-charge (OC) Abdur Rahim said that the incident is being investigated seriously. The body has been sent to the morgue of Chittagong Medical College (CMC) Hospital for autopsy.
