‎Remark-Herlan receives recognition for excellence in cosmetics sector

Remark-Herlan has been recognized as the best cosmetics manufacturing company in Bangladesh at the three-day Cosmetica Dhaka exhibition held at International Convention City Bashundhara in the capital.


‎The recognition was presented at Remark’s pavilion on Saturday evening, the final day of the exhibition. SM Faisal Munim, chief executive officer of exhibition organizer Squad Mind Global Limited, handed over crests recognizing Remark as the country’s leading cosmetics manufacturer and its pavilion as the best.


‎On behalf of Remark, the awards were received by Senior Operative Director Mizanur Rahman, Herlan Head of Marketing Habibullah Habib and other representatives of Remark-Herlan.

‎Faisal Munim said Remark’s contribution to the cosmetics industry was impressive. He said the company’s modern production capabilities, distinctive pavilion design and professional presentation had particularly impressed the organizers.

‎“Remark’s pavilion was not limited to displaying products; it also showcased the capabilities and potential of Bangladesh’s cosmetics industry to visitors,” he said.

‎He added that the company was given the special recognition based on positive feedback from participating companies, visitors, businesspeople and entrepreneurs throughout the exhibition.

‎Remark Director (Pharma) Sukanta Das described the recognition as a major achievement.

‎“Today’s achievement is not only for Remark but also recognition of Bangladesh’s cosmetics manufacturing capabilities. Being named the best among 58 companies from 16 countries will certainly encourage local manufacturers,” he said.

‎He added that Remark was working to ensure consumers have access to authentic products amid the prevalence of counterfeit and adulterated goods.

‎Senior Operative Director Mizanur Rahman said the company was delighted to receive the recognition after participating in the exhibition for the first time.

‎“We hope to showcase Remark’s latest technological capabilities and products more strongly in the future while highlighting Bangladesh’s strong position in the cosmetics sector,” he said.

‎Herlan Head of Marketing Habibullah Habib said Remark was taking its products beyond the domestic market and expanding them globally. He said the new recognition would further support the company’s future growth.

‎The Association of Skin Care and Beauty Products Manufacturers and Exporters of Bangladesh (ASBME)B also congratulated Remark on the achievement.

‎The organization’s General Secretary Jamal Uddin said Remark had made a significant contribution to Bangladesh’s cosmetics sector and had helped strengthen the country’s capacity to manufacture international-standard cosmetics and personal care products.

‎He expressed hope that Bangladesh could gradually move from being an import-dependent country to an exporter of cosmetics by following the path shown by companies such as Remark.

‎strong visitor interest in Remark’s pavilion

‎On the final day of the three-day international exhibition, Remark’s pavilion continued to attract large crowds. Models and actresses including Nazifa Tushi, Sharlin Farzana and Shabnam Faria, along with influencers and visitors, showed particular interest in Remark’s cosmetics and skincare products.

‎The visits of well-known celebrities added to the attraction of the pavilion. Responding to questions from journalists, they praised Remark’s cosmetics products and urged consumers to be more aware when purchasing authentic products.

‎Alongside displays of products from Remark’s various global brands, the company organized a special “Spin and Win” activity for visitors, creating additional excitement at the pavilion.

‎orders secured for packaging and corporate sales

‎Throughout the three-day exhibition, Remark showcased its locally manufactured cosmetics and skincare products as well as its capabilities in world-class packaging, printing and ingredients.

‎On the final day, new entrepreneurs also showed strong interest in Remark’s packaging and printing capabilities. They sought information on various services and placed orders for packaging items for their own brands.

‎Remark Head of Packaging Md Ali Reza said the company secured a significant number of commercial orders in printing, packaging and corporate sales during the exhibition.

‎He said new entrepreneurs were particularly interested in Remark’s international-standard packaging, printing and ingredient capabilities.

‎Foreign buyers and companies also showed interest in Remark’s manufactured products and production capabilities, he added. The company established contacts with business representatives and companies from different countries, creating opportunities for new business partnerships and market expansion.

‎According to Remark, its cosmetics and skincare products are manufactured through a combination of research and development, international-standard formulations, modern production technology and quality-control systems.

‎The company currently exports its cosmetics and skincare products to several countries, including Thailand, Sri Lanka, Nepal, Oman, the United Arab Emirates, the United States and the Philippines.

‎Remark has also received ISO, cGMP, BSTI Halal Certification and Green Factory Award recognition for its production capabilities and quality-control standards.
