Schoolboy killed in Naogaon road accident

A seven-year-old Class I student was killed after being hit by a bhotbhoti (three-wheeler) in Manda upazila of Naogaon on Tuesday morning.

The deceased was identified as Siam Hossain, son of Sajjad Hossain of Dakshinpara village in Ramnagar. He was a student of Class I at Ramnagar Government Primary School.

The accident occurred on a road near the school in Ramnagar. According to local residents, Siam was on his way to school when a bhotbhoti hit him and fled the scene.

He was critically injured and fell on the paved road. Locals rescued him and took him to Manda Upazila Health Complex, where an on-duty doctor declared him dead.

Manda Police Station Officer-in-Charge Khorshed Alam said the body would be handed over to the family after completion of legal procedures.
