Metro rail train service at Secretariat station was halted for about 20 minutes on Wednesday morning due to a suspected wire hanging above an OCS cable.
According to sources, the wire was seen hanging above the OCS cable at the station platform at around 7:10 AM. To avoid any risks associated with the electrified cable, metro rail train services were stopped.
Mohammad Mohsin, Inspector of MRT police, confirmed the incident.
Workers working at the scene started the task of removing the wire. The wire was removed within 20 minutes.
Metro rail train operations resumed at 7:30 AM.
