Two missing after riverbank collapse in Bhola

Two pperson, including a BGB member, went missing after a section of the Meghna Riverbank collapsed while five friends were sitting and chatting in Bhola Sadar on Wednesday night.

The two missing people were BGB member Mohammad Amzad, 28, and Mohammad Rakib, 26.

The incident occurred around 8 PM in the Shantirhat area of Shibpur Union.

According to police and locals, all five friends fell into the strong current after the riverbank suddenly collapsed. Three of them managed to swim to safety, but Amzad and Rakib went missing.

The Coast Guard and Naval Police conducted a search but could not find them. The search will resume Thursday morning.
