Hull City star escapes car crash unhurt

Hull City winger Sorba Thomas escaped unhurt after his car overturned near the club’s training ground in Cottingham on Friday morning, a day before the team’s Premier League match against Chelsea.

The accident reportedly occurred around 9:00 AM local time. Police went to the scene after the Land Rover Defender overturned, and images of the vehicle later circulated on social media.

Hull City confirmed that Thomas, who was driving the car, suffered no injuries and emerged “completely unscathed”. The club also said there was no issue with his travelling with the squad for Saturday’s match at Stamford Bridge.

In a statement, Hull City said, “The club is relieved to confirm that Sorba Thomas is uninjured following a road traffic accident near the club’s Cottingham training ground.”

The club added, “We are aware of images of Sorba’s vehicle circulating on social media and would like to reassure supporters that he has suffered no injuries and emerged from the vehicle completely unscathed.”

Thomas joined Hull City from Stoke City on transfer deadline day and made his debut in a goalless draw against Aston Villa last week. Hull manager Sergej Jakirovic praised the winger on Thursday, a day before the accident.

Hull City will face Chelsea at Stamford Bridge on Saturday afternoon.
