Mehedi Hasan Miraz produced a match-winning spell as Guyana Amazon Warriors defeated Trinbago Knight Riders by six wickets in the Caribbean Premier League on Saturday.

The Bangladesh all-rounder claimed four wickets for 23 runs from his four overs, helping Guyana restrict Trinbago to 126 for eight at Providence Stadium.

Miraz struck at crucial stages of the innings, removing Colin Munro and Nicholas Pooran early before returning to dismiss Kemol Savory and Charith Asalanka in the 11th over. His spell helped Guyana prevent Trinbago from building momentum in the final overs.

Guyana then completed the chase with eight balls to spare, reaching 127 for four in 18.4 overs. Miraz contributed 11 runs before falling in the 16th over.

The performance came after Miraz made an immediate impact on his CPL debut earlier in the tournament, taking three wickets for 13 runs against Saint Lucia Kings.

His latest effort further underlined his value to Guyana as the franchise continues its push towards the playoffs.

For Miraz, the back-to-back strong bowling displays have provided a timely boost ahead of Bangladesh's busy international schedule, which includes a Test against Afghanistan in October followed by a home Test series against West Indies.
