
Southeast Bank PLC has signed an agreement to participate in Bangladesh Bank’s Tk 5,000 crore Working Capital Refinance Fund for cottage, micro, small and medium enterprises (CMSMEs), aiming to support employment generation and sustainable development.
Under the scheme, the bank will provide working capital financing at preferential rates to eligible CMSMEs to help them operate at full capacity.
Bangladesh Bank Deputy Governor Md Anis Ur Rahman attended the signing ceremony as chief guest.
Among others, Bangladesh Bank Executive Director Nahid Rahman, Director of the SME and Special Programmes Department Md Zabdul Islam, Southeast Bank Deputy Managing Director Md Masum Uddin Khan and Executive Vice President and Head of the SME and Agri-Credit Division Mohammad Ashikuzzaman Khan were present.
